New face at MIB: Beatriz Catarino
MIB is joined by Master's student from University of Twente.
Beatriz Catarino is a Master’s student from Portugal, studying at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She has joined Center for Music in the Brain for 10 weeks to work as an intern with Cecilie Møller and Alexandre Celma-Miralles.
Her Master’s specialization is Physiological Signals and Systems, and she is especially interested in brain signals, whether it be in their acquisition or their processing and analysis. Furthermore, she has studied music since a young age and still loves to play various instruments and attend different concerts.
In line with that, Beatriz will be working on acquiring EEG data from a pilot study and preprocessing said data (e.g., data inspection, filtering, artifact-removal, averaging), leading to preliminary results for this study.
