Analysis of more than 200,000 Spotify tracks reveals commonalities and diversity in sleep music.
CFIN researcher (postdoc in Diego Vidaurre's Analysis Group), Nick Yao Larsen has been awarded the "Outstanding Paper Award in memory of Hans Jørgen G. Gundersen" in 2021 for his article on "Cellular 3D-reconstruction and analysis in the human cerebral cortex using automatic serial sections". The article is published in Communications Biology.
A PhD fellowship is available at Center for Music in the Brain, Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University. The fellowship is part of the EU MSCA doctoral network “Lullabyte: Music and Sleep”.
New research published in the journal Cognition with contribution from AIAS Fellow Niels Chr. Hansen and colleagues at Georgia State University has investigated how expert jazz musicians improvise, and what makes their solos so fascinating to listen to. The findings point to a ‘personal music library’ and can help us understand human creativity, and why some musicians are more successful than others.
