New face at MIB: Lousin Moumdijan

Postdoc from University of Hasselt/Ghent University, Belgium visits MIB for two months.

Lousin Moumdijan is a physiotherapist by background, obtaining her bachelor and master degrees in Charles University in Prague. Following a year of clinical work, she embarked in her PhD research, which was promoted by Prof. Marc Leman and Prof. Peter Feys in Belgium, where she investigated the effects of auditory-motor coupling to musical and non-musical rhythms during walking in persons with multiple sclerosis.

Within her post-doctoral fellowship, she is extending these investigations into cerebellar pathology.

Her stay in MIB for the duration of two months is critical to acquire expertise on the mechanisms of entrainment and underlying mechanisms of auditory-motor coupling from the viewpoint of prediction.
