New face at MIB: Nikita Kudriavtsev

MIB is joined by new PhD student.

Nikita Kudriavtsev has joined Center for Music in the Brain as a PhD student, under the supervision of Associate Professor Leonardo Bonetti. Nikita's project focuses on how ageing affects the brain networks involved in auditory processing, memory, and predictive coding. In particular, he will use brain imaging methods such as diffusion MRI and MEG to study how younger and older adults process and remember sounds, especially in noisy listening conditions.

Before coming to Aarhus, Nikita completed a master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at Maastricht University. He is especially interested in how the brain uses prior expectations to make sense of sound and music, and how these mechanisms change across the lifespan.
